Juanita C. Castillo, 64, of Baytown, Texas, passed away on Saturday, August 29, 2020, with her loving family by her side. She was born on November 15, 1955, in Rosita, Mexico, to the late Natividad and Carolina Colunga. She was a faithful member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Juanita pursued many interests, some of which included spending time with her precious family, gardening, and collecting various types of costume jewelry. She was a hard working person who took pride in what she did. Juanita was also a wonderful mother and grandmother, her family came first no matter what.
Juanita was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many who knew her. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Maria Colunga, Pete Colunga and Felipe Colunga. She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her husband of 31 years Roberto Castillo of Mont Baytown; her children Alex Valdez of Leander, Jennifer Hinojosa of Mont Belvieu, Robert Castillo Jr. of Mont Belvieu, Israel Castillo of Baytown; her grandchildren who she referred to as her babies, Jacob, Lisa, Reagan, Allie, Michael, Peyton, Cameron, Trace, Addison and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Alex Valdez, Robert Castillo Jr., Israel Castillo, Hector Ledezma, Derric Hinojosa, Lucio Cossio. Honoring the family as honorary pallbearer will be Ricardo Colunga
Friends are invited to visit with the family from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Thursday September 3, 2020, in the chapel of Sterling White Funeral Home, Crosby Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas, 77562. A funeral service for Mrs. Castillo will begin at 2:00 with a burial and committal immediately following in Sterling White Cemetery with Pastors Ben Urbina and Zeke Flores officiating
