Juanita Christine Mullins

Juanita Christine Mullins, 98, of Highlands, Texas, passed away January 12, 2020 in Baytown, Texas. She was born on June 4, 1921 in Soper Oklahoma to Frank Goins and Florine Taylor Goins. She was a housewife who raised nine children with her husband, John Cecil “Moon” Mullins. Juanita was our typical farm girl who loved tending to her chickens, milk cow, garden, yard, rose bushes and daily feeding of her birds. She never complained and was always grateful putting others first. Family was her life and she will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, John Cecil “Moon” Mullins; parents, Frank and Florine Goins; brother Elmer Franklin Goins, sisters Lessie Loraine Myers, Mavis Maxine House, Margaret Ann Walker children, Carl William Mullins, Barbara Lee Aiken and husband Ellis Dean Aiken, Clyde Dean Mullins, and Eva Charlene Vann and husband Leon Franklin Vann; daughter-in-law, Billie Jean Mullins; and son-in-law, Samuel James Boyd III.

Juanita is survived by her brother Ralph J Goins and wife Diane of Boswell, Oklahoma, children, Shirley Pfeiffer and husband Eugene, Leon Ray Mullins and wife Vicki, John Nathan Mullins and wife Sandra, David Clint Mullins and wife Terri, and Christopher Neil Mullins; daughters-in-law, Janet Mullins and Dehlia Mullins; grandchildren, Theresa Louise Holloway, Ynette Renee Westerfield,, John Christopher Boyd, Samantha Lynn Thiry, Adam Wesley Mullins, Rebekah Ann Deo, James Jason Mullins, Virginia Ellen Eder, Jacquelyn Christine Brown, Aimee Lynn Langlois, Chloe Elizabeth Mullins, Braden William Mullins, Terrill Wayne Mullins, and Richard Blake Mullins, along with 25 Great Grandchildren and 7 Great Great Grandchildren.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 10:00am to 11:00am on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. With Reverend Tim Edwards officiating.  Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
