Julia Faye Adam

Julia Faye Atteberry Adam, 87, of Crosby, Texas, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 20, 2020. Julia was born on August 22, 1932 in Baytown, Texas to Edwin E. Atteberry Sr. and Celeste Pearl Ridley Atteberry. She graduated from Robert E. Lee High School in Baytown in 1950, which is also the same year she married the love of her life, Victor W. Adam. She retired after working for many years as a Dental Assistant for Dr. Willie L. Herndon in Highlands.

She was a Christian woman who was a faithful member of the Crosby United Methodist Church where she served on their bereavement team.  Julia was talented could paint some very beautiful oil painting and wrote poetry. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting and fishing, playing dominoes, gardening and working in her yard. She touched the lives of many and will be dearly missed.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Victor W. Adam; parents, Edwin and Celeste Atteberry; and her siblings.

Julia is survived by her sons, Ken Adam and Doyle Adam; granddaughter, Tracy L. Adam; great-grandson, Levi Thompson; sister-in-law, Evelyn Woodard; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Crosby United Methodist Church or to the American Heart Association.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 9:00am to 11:00am on Friday, July 24, 2020 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am with Pastor Jamie Lea officiating. Interment will follow in Earthman Memory Gardens Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
