Julie Grace Lucas

Julie Grace Lucas, 47, of Highlands, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2019. She was born on April 7, 1972 in Baytown, Texas to Richard Lucas and Bernice Kubin Lucas. Julie loved big and everyone in her life felt it. She often looked up to her father for advice and would call her mother daily. Julie’s memory will live on through her 3-year-old grandson, Finn Lee, who was his Gigi’s world. Julie loved spending time with her four nephews and was readily available to spend quality time with them.  She enjoyed getting her hair and nails done regularly and never left her house without a dress on. Not a birthday, anniversary or special occasion passed by without her sending a sweet message to the person. Julie will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by grandparents, Marjorie and Wendell Lucas, and Anthony and Lillian Kubin; and uncles, Wayne Lucas and Joe Cash.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Kyla Lucas and fiancé Ryan Badgett; parents, Richard and Bernice Lucas; grandson, Finn Lee Badgett; brothers, Justin Lucas and wife Janis, and Josh Lucas and wife Christy; nephews, Cooper Lucas, Creed Lucas, Jaxson Lucas, and Jase Lucas; uncle, Pete Lucas; and a host of extended family and friends.

The family would like to say “thank you” for the love and prayers, they are forever grateful.

A celebration of her life for family and friends to pay their respects will be held on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Sterling White Funeral Home from 2:00pm to 4:00pm. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
