Julie Ann Rabalais

Julie Ann Rabalais, age 73, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday December 18, 2018. She was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on May 31, 1945 to Eula Marie Gaspard Ortego and Lloyd Joseph Ortego. She enjoyed dancing, cooking, crocheting, telling stories and entertaining, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a very giving, thoughtful, kind, funny person who never met a stranger. She had the ability to make everyone feel welcome, lit up the room with her personality, every body loved her and she will be loved and missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Eric Rabalais.

Julie is survived by her children, Henry Rabalais (and wife, Karen), Ericca Rabalais (and partner, Jennifer Fischer), Winnie Shurtleff (and husband, Tommy) Audra Havard (and husband, Darryl) and Jasen Rabalais (and wife, Rachel). Also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Saturday December 22, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. followed by services in Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
