Tribute

Our beloved Mama / MawMaw, Katherine Louise Cox, 85, of Highlands, Texas, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, surrounded by her family.

She was born to Alvin Wallace and Louise Stanley on December 4, 1938, in Birmingham, Alabama.

On September 3, 1955, she married Ander Franklin Cox in Mississippi. They had three children and lived in a variety of places including Alabama, New Orleans, and later settled in Highlands, Texas. She dedicated her life to raising her children and worked for Greenwade Services at ARCO Chemical as the Supervisor of Housekeeping. She retired as a shuttle driver at Lyondell Chemical.  Her passion was her family and serving the Lord at Baytown Revival Center

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin Wallace and Louise Stanley, and her husband of 53 years, Ander Cox.

She is survived by her children, Judy Mallory and husband Gene of Baytown, Brenda Rawls and husband Kent of Mont Belvieu, and Andy Cox and wife Melissa of Mont Belvieu; grandchildren, Miranda Reynolds and husband Brandon of Dayton, Kristina Ridenour of Baytown, Julie Morgan and husband Jason of Sugarland, Brian Rawls and wife Jackie of Mont Belvieu, and Blake Cox and wife Taylor of Baytown; great-grandchildren, Clayton Banks, Riley Banks, Olivia Banks, Alaina Reynolds, Kinsey Reynolds, Emilee Ridenour, Madison Ridenour, Rodney Wilburn, Jeremy Wilburn, Lily Conder, Brooklyn Rawls, Paisley Rawls, Saylor Cox, and Navy Cox; siblings, Patricia R. Kochem and husband Ernie of Alabaster, Alabama, Linda Allen of Talladega, Alabama, Ron Greer and wife Janet of Alabaster, Alabama, Bertha Cox of St. Rose, Louisiana, Patricia Cox of Highlands, Texas and a host of nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Brian Rawls, Blake Cox, Clayton Banks, Rodney Wilburn, Riley Banks, and Jeremy Wilburn, and serving as honorary pallbearer is Andy Cox.

The family would like to thank the loving staff of The Lodge at Pine Creek in Baytown for taking such good care of our sweet Mama/MawMaw for the last 2 ½ years.
