Kay Francis Milum, 62, of Baytown, Texas, passed away January 8, 2019. She was born on November 27, 1956 in Baytown, Texas to Marshall Edwin Rushing, Sr. and Emma Lee Pittman Rushing. As an independent, strong-willed woman Kay was known by many as a jack of all trades. The great outdoors was one of Kay’s favorite places to spend her time, whether it be hunting, fishing or riding horses. She was a gifted gardener while tending to her okra and soybeans and very dedicated to raising her chickens and rehabilitating wildlife. Even with her love of the outdoors, Kay did find the time to hone her crafting skills. Kay enjoyed crocheting, sewing and creating stained glass works of art.
Kay is preceded in death by her parents Emma and Marshall Rushing, Sr., brother Marshall Rushing, Jr., and sister Vickie Rushing.
Kay is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Walter Wayne Milum; sons Randall Milum and Edwin Milum and wife Jenafer Milum. Kay is also survived by her siblings Alice Allen and Bobby Rushing; and a host of extended family and friends.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, January 13, 2019 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 14, 2019 at 2:00pm also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery.
