Leola Dean Starnes

Leola Dean Starnes, 89, went to be with the Lord on Monday, April 30, 2018. She was born on August 15, 1928 in Winnsboro, South Carolina to Leo Jennings Dean and Ethel Arlita Rutland. Leola was loving, nurturing, and had a great sense of humor. She was a strong woman who loved God. Leola enjoyed fishing, cooking, gardening, and taking care of her family. Leola will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Rayford Starnes; parents, Leo and Ethel Dean; sons, Alvin Starnes and Keith Starnes; and two infants.

Leola is survived by her daughters, Donise Nickerson, Sandra Lauderdale, and Deanna Riley; sons, Timothy Starnes, Richard Starnes, and Kenneth Starnes; 21 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; and 6 great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:00am. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
