Linda Carol Johnson

Linda Carol Johnson, 71, of DeBerry, Texas, passed away on Monday, September 24, 2018. She was born on October 23, 1946 to parents, Carl Johnston and Mable Marie Garber Johnston. Linda was determined, headstrong, and voiced her opinions. Never did you have to wonder how she felt because she wasn’t shy about letting you know if she thought you were doing wrong. If you ever had a time where you needed a helping hand or just needed someone to have your back, Linda was there for you. No matter if you were just an acquaintance or a friend, to her you were put in a circle called “family”. She enjoyed riding horses, farming, playing bingo and taking trips to the casino. She loved her family and taking care of kids. Linda will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Johnson; former husband, Charles Craven Sr; parents, Carl and Mable Johnston; brother, Doyle Johnston; and stepsons, Charles Cravens Jr and Alton James Johnson Jr.

Linda is survived by her son, John Johnson and wife Mellissa; brothers, Donnie Joe Johnston and wife Michelle, and William Johnston and wife Vickee; stepsons, Allen Jerry Johnson, Kerry Quinn Johnson, and Gale “Bubba” Lynn Johnson, and Craig Johnson; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Serving as Pallbearers will be Jaden Clay Reuter, Troy Clayton Reuter, Donnie Joe Johnston, John Thomas Johnson, and Al Devin.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2018 from 5:00pm - 8:00pm at Sterling-White Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm on Friday, September 28, 2018 also at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
