Linda Kay Stanley-Kelm, age 69, passed away on Monday, November 13, 2023 at home in Crosby, Texas surrounded by family and loved ones. She was born in Houston, Texas to Alvin and Dorothy (Nathey) Stanley on July 1, 1954 as the oldest of four daughters.
Linda lived in Southwest Houston all her life where she attended St. Francis de Sales and St. Agnes. Upon graduating from St. Agnes, she attended the University of Texas School of Dentistry where she was enrolled in the dental assisting program. After graduating from the program, she worked for 20 years for Dr. Harvey King.
After having her son, Justin, Linda began volunteering and substitute teaching at Sacred Heart Catholic School - Crosby; where Justin was enrolled. She returned to school and received a degree in Early Childhood Education & Family Studies from San Jacinto College - North. Linda then taught at Sacred Heart for 15 years before retiring. She found immense joy in her 2 careers. Throughout her life, Linda enjoyed traveling, reading, and crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Kelm; son, Justin Kelm and wife, Chyann Kelm; mother, Dorothy Stanley; bonus mom, Carol Stanley; sister, Sheryl Garcia and family; sister, Dianna Tidwell and family; sister-in-laws, Elizabeth and Phyllis Kelm; and many loving nieces, nephews, and family members. She is preceded in death by her father, Alvin Stanley; sister, Jerri Stanley, and all four grandparents.
