Tribute

Lonnie Gene Gregorcyk, 80, of Baytown, Texas went to be with the Lord on July 27, 2020.   Lonnie was born on November 14, 1939 in Bluntzer, Texas to Urban Benedict and Lottie (Weir) Gregorcyk.  Lonnie was a retired Equipment Manager.  He was a member of St John’s Catholic Church Baytown, Texas where he was a member of The Knights of Columbus for many years.  He loved fishing, hunting and enjoyed doing this with his children and grandchildren.  He enjoyed teaching them all the safety of hunting and fishing.  He enjoyed being outdoors and spending time with his family, grandchildren and great grandchildren as well as spending holidays with family and friends.  He also enjoyed going Down South where he could spend time with siblings, nieces and nephews going fishing and hunting with them.  He was a giving man but a very simple man.  He will be deeply missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his wife Dee, whom he dearly Loved, his siblings Lucille Gregorcyk, Annette Pullin, Urban Lee (Sonny), Gregorcyk and Hazel Williams.  His brother-in-laws, Ervin Repka, Dave Williams, A.O. Pullin, Tuffy Grossman and John Dlabaja.  He survived by his daughter Suzanne Holcomb, daughter Sheila L Salinas and husband Russell: son Gene Gregorcyk and wife Alicia.  Siblings Willie Bell Grossman, Juanita (Nita) Repka and Patricia Durban.  Brother-in-law Joe Dlabaja and wife Doris.  Grandchildren Tara Waddell and husband Tim, Sean Salinas, Kyle Salinas wife Andrea, Hanna Holcomb, Christian Salinas, Abby Gregorcyk and Sarah Gregorcyk; Great grandkids Kennedi Vaughn, Presli Salinas, Jake Salinas, Nixon Waddell, Weston Waddell, Olivia Salinas, Ashford Salinas and many other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Lonnie’s memory to Baytown Fire Station 3, 3311 Massey Tompkins Rd, Baytown, TX 77521 and to the San Jacinto Ambulance Department. The family is also requesting to please send money and food to Shelia Salinas, 6703 Haider Ave, Baytown, TX 77521 to help with those affected by COVID-19. 

There will be a private service for immediate family only from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm.  A Memorial Service will be set up at later date.  Services have been entrusted by Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Road, Highlands Texas 77562.  To send family condolences please visit www. sterlingwhite.com. Due to COVID-19, masks must be worn.
