Mabriel Michael Mitchell

Mr. Mabriel (Peanut) Michael Mitchell gained his wings on May 23, 2022 at the age of 71 years old. He was born in Port Arthur, Texas to the Sylvio Mitchell and Verna Beard on April 14, 1971. Mabriel is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Celestine Mitchell, brothers Charles, James, Terry and Joseph Mitchell, and step-brother Bruce Scott. Mabriel is also preceded by his sisters Sylvia, Debra Mitchell, and Connie Eaglin, and very special friend Elizabeth Williams.

Mabriel leaves to cherish his loving memories to his daughter Trenell Maze (Vernon). His grandchildren DaVonna Collins, Traveisha Sanders, Travis Sanders Jr., Regina Mitchell, DeVonta Williams and Javier Maze. 11 great grandkids, Joseph, Jaquelin, Jamarion, Gabriel, Da’Trenell, Ja’Niyah, Jayden, Joshua, Jonah, Amari and Julian along with his step-brother Warren Scott and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

The family has selected the following scripture and passage, to honor the memory of Peanut and bring comfort to those who cherish his memory.
Psalms 23:4 - “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil for thou art with me: Thy rod and staff they comfort me.”
“If you can see me now, know that I am on the pond living care free. My God has loosened the chains that shackled me. Please don’t weep or cry for me, for I am at the place that was prepared for me.”

The family would like to invite all who knew Mabriel “Peanut” Mitchell to celebrate his life Wednesday, June 1, 2022 from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX 77562.
