Martha Louise Hill

Martha “Snook” Louise Hill, age 89, went to be with the Lord on Friday October 6, 2017. She was born in Houston, Mississippi on September 19, 1928. She enjoyed sewing and was an excellent seamstress who made a lot of clothes for her grandchildren, being outdoors and working in her garden, cooking and was an animal lover, especially her cats and feeding the birds, but most of all spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchild. She was always a smiling, loving, fun and witty, outgoing person who liked to make other people smile with her humor. She gave everyone a nickname and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her brothers and sisters,  William “Sugarman” Gann, Margie “Roushie” Sisk, John “Shike” Gann and Ruth “Sook” Clark.

Martha is survived by her children, Karolyn Hill Cone and husband, Gerry - who she thought of as a son, Kathy Hill Jenkins (and husband, Terry); her grandchildren, Kimberly Brown (and husband, Chris) and Jennifer Richards (and husband, Ron) and her great-grandson, Ronald “Tripp” Graham Richards III. Also survived by other relatives and many friends.

 A visitation for family and friends will be held  at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Saturday October 14,    2017 from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. Interment will be private Arrangements entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd.
