Matthew Dillon Gregory

Matthew Dillon Gregory - “Goose” to his friends and “Bubba” to his family, age 25, of Crosby, Texas was called to heaven on September 22, 2022.

Matthew was born to Ricky and Cristela Gregory on July 15, 1997.  

Matthew was known for his contagious smile. He smiled when he was happy, when he was tired, when he was on the football field being a beast, when he wanted to charm his way out of trouble with his mamma, when he was picking on his dad, “Rick”, and when he was 24/7 picking on his sister, Bri Bri.

To say family and friends were a priority to Matthew is to understate just how much he truly cared for everyone.  He was a man who acted on his love, not just with words, but with actions.  

From playing t-ball, beginning at the age of 4, right here in Crosby in Little League baseball , YMCA basketball, to Middle and High School football, weight lifting, track and field,  and baseball, even earning a football scholarship , to now playing on an adult baseball league and on a midweek bowling league - he was an all around athlete, who was known for his sportsmanship, kindness, and big heart. He was respected and respectful, on and off the field.

Matthew is survived by his parents, Ricky and Cristela Gregory, as well as his sister, Briana, along with multiple tias, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

He was preceded in death by his Abuelo and Abuela, Presiliano and Estela Zamora, and his Grandparents, Lawrence and Louise Gregory.

There are no words to express the gratitude of the family for the over-abundance of love you have shown us. He will truly be missed by us all.
