Maxine Jackson

Eleanor Maxine Jackson, 90, of Baytown Texas, was called home by her Heavenly Father on Thursday, April 28, 2022 and is celebrating as she can now listen and can hear all the angels singing and rejoicing in her homecoming.  Maxine was born on March 1, 1932 in Jasper Texas to Robert Anderson and Elvie Mary Jane Priest.  She was a member of Wooster Baptist Church and was in charge of maintaining the church library for many, many years.  She was an avid reader, artist and loved painting.  Despite the extreme challenges and hardships of her complete loss of hearing at a young age, she was still able to be a wonderful Mom to her four children, raising them to become successful in life.

Maxine was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years Lawrence "Larry" Jackson, her son Larry Wayne "Skip" Jackson, her father Robert Anderson Priest, mother Elvie Mary Jane Priest, sisters Patsy Chatelain and Bobbie Stimac, and her brother Jack Priest. 

She is survived by her children, Deborah Denny, Andrea Wood and husband Lonnie, Darrin Jackson and wife Audra.  Maxine, better known to all as MeMe, is also survived by her 10 Grandchildren, Brad Jackson, Nick Jackson, Ronda Donnell, Ashley Burgess, Shayna Wood, Shelby Wood, Dustin Jackson, Meagan Hutzley, Joey West, Jacob West, her 6 Great-Grandchildren, Ivy, (big) Luke, Trey, Ethan, (little) Luke, Madelynn and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild, Ty

Graveside service will take place on Tuesday May 3, 2022 at 10:00 am in Sterling White Cemetery, Highlands Texas
