Michael Karl Wotipka, 56, passed away on Monday, March 2, 2020. He was born on April 28, 1963 in Topeka, Kansas to Leo Edward Wotipka and Sylvia Ann Edgley.
Michael had a magnetic personality. He was gifted on the trumpet and loved playing. No one was a stranger to him and he would drop everything to help a friend in need. He loved life and enjoyed fishing, football and his family. Michael will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is preceded in death by his father, Leo Edward Wotipka.
Michael is survived by his wife Dawn Angela Freeman Wotipka; children, Madison Elizabeth Wotipka and Matthew Karl Wotipka; mother, Sylvia Ann Wotipka; brother, Mark Wotipka and wife Janet; nephews, Bryan and David Wotipka; and a host of extended family and friends.
Honoring the family by serving as pallbearers will be Chris Howard, Buck Freeman, Mark Wotipka, Kent Lynch, Rick McManus, and Mike Osbourn. Honorary pallbearers will be Henry Roach and Brian Boldt.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. at Sterling White Funeral Home. Interment will follow in at Sterling White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
