Monica "Mona" Delores Davis, age 78, passed away on November 9, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born on September 11, 1945, to Peter Leibham and Emily Kubin Leibham in Crosby, Texas.
Monica is survived by her children Carroll Davis, Jason Davis, Damian Davis and wife Holly, and Rachael Davis of Crosby, Texas, and Ramona Dickson of Monticello, Mississippi. Monica is also survived by her four sisters Joan Wilson, Veronica Oehler "Necka", Carolyn Butler, and Mary Katherine Ellerbee "Puggy".
Her legacy extends through her grandchildren: Sara Reynolds (Monticello, MS), Jordan Davis and wife Vanessa (Houston, TX), Clay Dickson (Monticello, MS), Brooke Davis, Nycole Davis, and Henry Davis (all residing in Crosby, TX). Monica was also blessed with great-grandchildren Christopher, Atticus, and Daphne Davis in Houston, TX, as well as Jamison and Emerson Reynolds of Monticello, MS.
Monica was preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Carroll Davis, and her parents, Peter and Emily Leibham. She is also reunited with six brothers: A.P. Leibham, Lawrence, Dennis, David, Gene, and Thomas Leibham.
Monica found solace in the comforts of home, especially in her cherished recliner. Her love for classic TV shows like "Andy Griffith" and old game shows filled her days. She relished moments playing dominoes with her brother and friends at the KC Hall and enjoyed the mental challenge of Scrabble, even playing solo if no opponents were available.
In her younger years, Monica dedicated much of her time to raising her children. Weekends were often spent camping at Wolf Creek Park with her numerous siblings and their children. She valued family time, gathering with her sisters on Tuesdays and her brothers on Thursdays at Thomas's.
Monica "Mona" Delores Davis leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished family moments. She will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
