Nita Christine Montgomery

Nita Christine Hogue Montgomery, 48, passed away on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. She was born on September 23, 1969 in Pasadena, Texas to Jimmie Warren Hogue and Janice Sue Crow Hogue. Nita was full of love and was a friend to everyone. She enjoyed karaoke, collecting sea shells, and was also an animal lover. Nita will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her father, Jimmie W. Hogue; grandparents, Mr. & Mrs. E.I. Crow, and Mr. & Mrs. Hogue; nephew, Thomas Cody Bennett; and brother, James Hogue.

Nita is survived by her beloved husband, Derrick; sons, Ryan Rice and Rusty Rice; stepson, Clint Kennedy; daughter-in-laws, Khaela Tinsley and Samantha Phebus; mother, Janice Sue Smith; brothers, Jimmie Lee Hogue and Ronnie Hogue; sisters, Natalie S. Harvey, Amy M. Smith, and Rhonda Lee; grandson, Ryance Rice; granddaughters, Zoey Rice and Oakley Rice; numerous nephews and nieces; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 9:00am to 11:00am on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Sterling White Funeral Home. A Celebration of Life will follow at 11:00am.
