Opal Jewel Stuard Ormsbee, 86, of Humble, Texas passed away on Monday, September 6, 2021. She was born on December 20, 1934 in Pelly, Texas to her parents, Bennie Rudolph Stuard and Juanita Hanson Stuard. She married the love of her life, Howard Heman Ormsbee, and together they had four children. Opal had been a member of the Baytown chapter of Pilot Club. She was a member of Atascocita United Methodist Church and also served on the residents' council of Rosemont Assisted Living Center in Atascocita. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Heman Ormsbee; children, Baby Boy Ormsbee and Janice Lyn Ormsbee; parents, Bennie and Juanita Stuard; and sister, Fay Rutzen.
Opal is survived by daughter, Pamela Ormsbee Ellis and her husband, Dan Thompson Ellis; son, Troy Heman Ormsbee and his wife, Kimberly Thorn; grandchildren, Janna Ellis Pokluda and her husband, Robert William Pokluda, Jr., John Daniel Ellis and his wife, Erin Locklear Ellis, Alexis Ann Ormsbee, and Trent Howard Ormsbee; great-grandchildren, Blake Daniel Pokluda, Rylan William Pokluda, and Elizabeth Adelyn Ellis; brother, Larry Ray Stuard and his wife, Billie Lightfoot Stuard; and a host of extended family and friends.
Serving the family as pallbearers will be John Ellis, Robert Pokluda, Trent Ormsbee, Blake Pokluda, Larry Stuard II, Tony Stuard, and Cary Mace. Honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Pokluda.
An outdoor service will begin at 2:00pm, Monday, September 13, 2021 at the pavilion of Sterling-White Cemetery with interment to follow.
