Patricia Marie Herman

Patricia “Ticka” Marie Herman, age 55, left us to be with our Lord, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, September 27, 2018. She was born on December 13, 1962 in Baytown, Texas to Richard “Gene” and Angelee “Angie” Ruth (Bobalik) Zadrapa. She was a graduate of Ross S. Sterling High School and Stephen F. Austin University. She married the loved of her life, and soulmate, Donny Edward Herman on May 1, 1999.  They shared 19 wonderful, exciting years together. She was blessed to share her life with Donny’s daughter, Chasity Lynn. Patricia was strong in her faith, and a very active parishioner at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic church of Highlands, Texas.  She served her Lord as an eucharistic minister and thoroughly enjoyed her membership in the Catholic Daughters of America. Ticka loved the many adventures of vacationing in the mountains of Colorado and New Mexico, riding the side-by-side with friends and especially catching an afternoon nap whenever she could sneak it in. Like her dad, Gene, she was in awe of God’s work of nature, evidenced by following the weather closely and growing vegetables in her garden.  Those who knew her well saw her as outgoing, full of laughter, and having a delightful sense of humor.  We cherished her loving, compassionate and unique nature. Patricia will be missed so much by her large extended family of nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles as well has her many friends whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in death by her father, Gene Zadrapa, and brother, Glenn Zadrapa. She is survived by her husband, Donny Herman; daughter, Chasity Herman; mother, Angie Zadrapa of Highlands; sisters, Kathy Zadrapa Stuart, of Highlands, and Debbie and Troy King of Friendswood; nieces and nephews, Chris and Craig Zadrapa, Zac, Jake and Josh Stuart, Nick, Natalie and Noah King, Brittany, Shyanne and Michael Jr Benavidez, Ares Jean and Codi Lee Lacy; and her “other child” a very spoiled dog, Stevie “Ray-Ray”.

Her family extends a heartfelt thank you to Pallbearers Robert Herman, Troy and Nick King, Chris Zadrapa, Zac, Jake and Josh Stuart, and Rick Bobalik, and honorary Pallbearers Terry White, Noah King, and Roger Bobalik.  A visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 from 5:00pm to 8:00pm at Sterling White Funeral Home with a rosary at 7:00pm. A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church, 800 S Main St, Highlands, TX 77562. Interment will follow in Sterling White Cemetery.
