Patrick Charles McHugh

Patrick Charles “Mickey” McHugh age 94, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday February 6, 2018. He was born in Baytown, Texas on July 21, 1923 to Mary Louise Shanks McHugh and Boad Hugh McHugh. He enjoyed playing golf, hunting, fishing, woodworking and playing baseball. Mickey retired from Exxon Mobil Baytown Refinery in 1982 with over 37 years of service. Most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was the best loving and caring family man, the kind that never met a stranger, a true American Hero, a United States Army WWII Veteran, Purple Heart recipient and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; his daughter, Jamie Kathleen McHugh and his sisters and brother, Earline and Margaret McHugh and Marian (Fisher) McHugh. Mickey is survived by his beloved wife after 58 years of Sacred Marriage, Patricia Ann Collins McHugh; his children, Patrick C. McHugh Jr. (and wife,Kathy), Danny McHugh (and wife,Valory), Mickey McHugh (and wife, Deborah) and Randy Lynn Statum (and wife,Christina). Also survived by 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, other relatives and many friends. A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Saturday February 10, 2018 from 11:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. followed by Services in Sterling White Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will be in Sterling White Cemetery.
