Peggy Carol Ross

Peggy Carol Ross, 65, of Splendora, Texas, passed away on Wednesday, October 20, 2021. She was born on June 12, 1956 in Atlanta, Georgia to parents James Ross and Francis Payne who preceded her in death along with her husband Billy Ray Young Sr.; twin brother Harold Ross; brother Jimmy Ross; sisters Tinker Jackson and Linda Bradswell; and grandson Tyler Young.

Carol was a selfless, loving person with a sweet soul. She enjoyed cooking and was especially known for her homemade biscuits and gravy which she would cook for just about anyone. Carol loved her family dearly and was always very involved in the family functions. She was a mom and mawmaw to everyone and put everyone before herself. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and children and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Carol leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Peggy Young, Billy Ray Young and wife Missy, Melinda Berry and husband Mark, Shawn Young and wife Sarah; grandchildren Cody, Devin, Mason, Logan, Krista, Skyler, Payge, Kade, Emma, Evan, and Nova; sister Becky Scott and husband Joe; brothers Pete Ross and Ronnie Ross; nephew Jeff with whom she shared a special bond and was like a second mother to; along with numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.   

A visitation for Carol will be held 1:00 p.m. – 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, October 27, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, Texas with funeral services to begin at 2:00 p.m. officiated by Shane Bryant.
