Richard “Booger” Wayne Farmer, 66, of Highlands, Texas, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021 surrounded by his family in Houston, Texas after a four year battle with cancer.

Booger was born on May 18, 1955 in Baytown, Texas to his parents, Richard “Dick” Lloyd Farmer and Edith Lamb Farmer. Booger was a lifelong resident of Highlands, Texas and was a graduate of Ross Sterling High School. After his graduation, Booger began his career in the chemical plants.  He retired from Chevron after 20 years of service as a crane operator

Booger loved being a Pa-paw and loved spending time with his grandkids. In his younger years he enjoyed racing cars, restoring hot rods, hunting, cruising, and gambling.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Dick and Edith Farmer; and sister, Debbie Burns.

Booger is survived by his wife of 42 years, Melanie; daughter, Kristen Greer; son, Bo Farmer and wife Kristina; daughter, Farrah Robinson; grandchildren, Drake Farmer, Kinley Farmer, Blakely Farmer, Liam Burmingham, and Levi Burmingham; brother, PeeWee Farmer and wife Patti; and a host of extended family and friends.

Friends are invited to visit with the family from 1pm to 2pm on Monday, October 4, 2021 at Sterling White Funeral Home. Services to follow at 2pm. Burial will be in Sterling White Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be Ronnie Ellender, Mac Neathery, Kenny Neatherlin, Justin “JD”Gilmore, Waylon Gilmore, and Eddie Howard.
