Richard Wayne Ripkowski

Richard Wayne Ripkowski, 68, of Highlands, Texas, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019. He was born on January 4, 1951 in Baytown, Texas to Marion Sylvester Ripkowski and Alice Barbara Schmadl Ripkowski. He was honorably discharged from the Army after serving his country. Richard enjoyed the outdoors while gardening and also taking rides on his motorcycle. He was known to tinker around in his garage and put things together. Richard was a practicing Catholic and was a parishioner of St. Jude Thaddeus Catholic Church in Highlands. He will be dearly missed bv all who knew and loved him.

Richard is preceded in death by his parents, Marion and Alice Ripkowski; and brother-in-law, Clarence Milton Sawyer.

He is survived by his daughter, Shain Ripkowski-Foster and husband Robert; brother, Charles Ripkowski and wife Peggye; sisters, Judy Ocker and husband Don, and Sandra R. Sawyer and husband Michael Anderson; grandchildren, Thomas Pittman and Taylor Foster; great-grandchild, Jayce Pittman; nieces, nephews, and many friends.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, March 28, 2019 from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. followed by the recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Services at Sterling-White Funeral Home.
