Tribute

Robert Glenn Ericson, 85, passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 15th, 2021, at New Haven Assisted Living and Memory Care in Tomball, Texas. He was born November 7th, 1935, in Baytown, Texas to Charles Richard and Wilma Lucille Ericson. Glenn is preceded in death by his wife, Martha Ericson; parents, Charles and Wilma Ericson; siblings, Lester Richard Ericson and Lucille Brandemer; and daughter, Karen Herring.

He leaves behind his daughters, Teresa De Le Garza and Patricia Gumela; grandchildren, Randolph and Rebecca De Le Garza, and Kimberly, Melanie, and Robert Gumela; adopted daughters, Karie and Holla Ericson.

Glenn was an incredibly loving and gifted man. He put his family above anything else, and was one of the hardest workers you’d ever meet. He could solve any problem given to him, and never turned away those in need.

Glenn enjoyed making elaborate villages surrounding his model train collection, building and flying RC planes, wood and metal working, and gardening fruits, vegetables, and flowers. He loves his family and dogs, and worked hard to raise cattle, horses, and chickens. He owned his own contracting company; “Ericson Mechanical Contractors”, and worked for York international. He was loved by all who were lucky enough to meet him, and will be greatly missed.

A memorial visitation for Mr. Ericson will take place 11AM - 1PM, Tuesday, July 6, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home Chapel, Highlands, Texas with a graveside service to follow at 1:30PM in Sterling-White Cemetery, Highlands, Texas.
