Rodney Bruce Boyd

Rodney Bruce Boyd passed away on Monday, November 4, 2019 at the age of 64, surrounded by family. He was born on March 12, 1955 in Houston, Texas to Sherwood and Loretta Boyd. Everyday Rodney would come home from work and watch Wheel of Fortune with a cup of coffee. Rodney loved to play Scrabble, Yahtzee and Dominoes and every Friday night was family game night. His happy place was at home, sitting in his recliner and watching TV. Rodney was a simple and family-oriented man who will be missed by all that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years Demecia Boyd; his parents Sherwood and Loretta Boyd; children Juan Carlos Boyd (Michelle Oliva), Patricia Boyd (Russ Ruiz), David Boyd (Alicia Ricarte); and grandchildren Stella Boyd, Riley Boyd, Sebastian Boyd, Cole Ruiz and Samurai Illescas. He is also survived by extended family and friends.

A Memorial Service for Rodney will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home on Thursday, November 7, 2019 at 2:00pm. A Visitation will be one hour before services. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
