Memorial Services for Bobbie Marie Otis and her beloved husband, Ronald Lee Otis, both age 79, of Broaddus,Texas will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, January 24, 2019, at the First Baptist Church in Broaddus. A second service will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, January 26, 2019, at Sterling-White Funeral Home in Highlands, Texas. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. Dr. W. Wayne Barth, will officiate both services.

Bobbie and Ronald passed from this life into the arms of Jesus on January 18, 2019 in San Augustine County, Texas.

Bobbie was born February 8, 1939, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to the late Edythe Marie (Berry) Browning and Byron Burnice Browning. She was a bookkeeper for many years working for San Jacinto Bookkeeping Service. She retired to Broaddus where she enjoyed doing arts and crafts and visiting with her neighbors. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broaddus and enjoyed visiting with the First Baptist Family. 

Ronald was born October 23, 1939, in Goose Creek, Texas (Baytown) to the late Lorette Elise (Lenoir) Otis and Cecil Edwin Otis. He worked in the petrochemical industry for many years. He later worked for Clark Fire Equipment in sales and service. He retired to Broaddus where he was an avid outdoorsman. He loved fishing and hunting. He was known to always lend a hand to those in need in his church and community. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Broaddus and enjoyed visiting with the First Baptist family and his neighbors. 

Those left to cherish their memory include beloved daughters, Deborah Bailey Horton and her husband, Greg, of Pasadena; Marilyn Jordan Douget and her husband, Steve, of Anahuac; Carolyn Otis Fink and husband David, of Needville, and Tina Wilson and her husband Bryant,of Pasadena. Beloved grandchildren include, Michael Bletsch and his wife Callie, of Richmond; Jessica Swearingen of Lago Vista; Jason Jordan of Charelston, S.C.; Dustin Temple and his wife Jessica, of Richmond; Lindsey Byrum and her husband Kevin, of Lago Vista; Brandon Lee Wilson of Pasadena; Candice Nicole Wilson of Pasadena; Justin Wilson and his wife Raven, of Pasadena; Kayla Marie Fink and Nicole Lynn Fink of Buda; Jaclyn Horton and Travis Horton of San Antonio; Bobbie's sister, Jane Anderson of Cold Springs, and Ronald's brothers, Roland Otis of Pasadena and Paul Otis of Crosby. They leave behind 4 great-grandchildren who will greatly miss their mamaw and papaw. 

Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, Edythe Marie and Bernice Byron Browning, brother Gary Browning, and sister Shirlene Dresser. 

Ronald is preceded in death by his parents, Lorette Elise (Lenoir) Otis and Cecil Edwin Otis, his sister Madeleine Vessels, and daughter Brenda Otis Swearingen.
