Ronald Wayne Turnbow

Ronald Wayne Turnbow, age 70, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, September 20, 2017.  He was born in Delhi, Louisiana on October 1, 1946 to Ora Mae McCarty Turnbow and Earl Decoy Turnbow.  He enjoyed playing golf and boating with his friends and family and he was a talented musician who sang and played the guitar.  When he saw you, he was smiling and having fun and always made you feel like he was glad to see you.  He loved spending time with his family and friends and will be loved and missed by all who knew him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Brenda Thibodeaux; and his brother, Earl Turnbow Jr.  He is survived by his wife, Diane Turnbow; his children, Kelli Ward (and husband, William), DeNece Gilbert (and husband, Gerald), and Corey Turnbow (and wife, Ashley); his brother, Rick Turnbow (and wife, Jo Ann); his sisters, Jean Hoenke and Rosie Audirich; and his grandchildren,  Branden Gilbert, William Ward, Paige Gilbert, Gracie Turnbow, Goldie Turnbow and soon to be Grayson Turnbow.  He is also survived by other relatives and many, many friends. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held at Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas  77562, on Tuesday, September 26, 2017 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.  A Graveside Service will be held at Houston National Cemetery, 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr., Houston, Texas 77038 on Wednesday afternoon at 1:15 p.m.  The pall-bearers will be Corey Turnbow, Gerald Gilbert, Branden Gilbert, Joseph Creel, Don Martin and Jason Hurlbut.
