Rosella Lu Jamison, 89, of Dayton, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 21, 2021. She was born on November 5, 1931 in Beecher City, Illinois to parents Harley Franklin Light and Alma Esther Bandalow Light Emmons who preceded her in death along with her husband John Eugene Jamison; grandparents Mary Luella Smith Bandalow, Rudolph August Willhelm Bandalow, Alice Louisa Mayhan Light, Burton “Bert” Light; brothers Ray Jean Light, Roy Dean Light; sister Ronella Su Grisham; children John Harley Jamison and Susan Gregory.

Rosella graduated from Beecher City High School, Illinois in 1949. She was an avid bowler for more than 40 years; starting at the Freeport Bowling Alley then Angleton Bowling Alley, and finally ending up in the Baytown Bowling Allies. She was inducted into the BWBA (Baytown Women’s Bowling Association) Hall of Fame and the Brazoria County Hall of Fame for beginning youth bowling in Brazoria County. She worked with the Junior Bowlers for many years. Rosella worked at the Gulf Coast Hospital in Baytown and over the years also worked in the Freeport, Angleton, and Baytown Bowling Allies. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Rosella leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Thomas Leroy Jamison, James Monroe Jamison, Nancy Rose Roachell, Timothy Jamison, Jerry Jamison, and Theda Tilton; grandchildren Stacey Lee Jamison and wife Annie, John Edward Jamison, Thomas Brandon Jamison and wife Misty, Amber Michelle Hulsey and husband Daniel, Kimberly Sparkman, Brandi Nicole Moody, Kevin Allen Jamison, Lyle Anthony Roachell and wife Jessi, Shayla Marie Ludwig and husband Brooks, V’ronica Reshea Fulmer and husband Chris, Nanci Nicole Gregory, Katrina Marie Gregory, Ryan Paul Gregory, Mysti Dawn Jamison, Elizabeth Reisner, Erin Ashlee Vossler and husband Giddeon, and Evan Andrew Reisner; great-grandchildren, Scotty Lee Jamison and wife Reagan, Sierra Lynn Jamison and husband Tuff, Shawn Lee Jamison, Jade Elyssa Jamison, John Ethan Jamison, Declan Darrell Jamison, Rylee Blaze Jamison, Joshua Cole Jamison, Katie Lyn Jamison, Thomas Luke Jamison, Sidon Wayne Hulsey, Leland Zane Hulsey, Andrew James Mosley, Matthew Austin Myrick, Rayne Fey Lynn Moody, Kasen Roachell, Kalli Ludwig, Brailey Ludwig, Jordan Ludwig, Oaklee Fulmer, Karlie Nicole Gregory, Kendell Nicole Maddox, Emanuel Gabriel Griffin, Kloee Elizabeth Alfaro, Jaxson Gregory, Cayden Avery Reisner, Carter Andrew Reisner, Codi Ann Reisner, and Bradley Vossler; great-great-grandchildren Harley Jax Jamison and Haylee James Reno; brother Larry Lee Light along with numerous other relatives and friends.
