Ruben Marez

Ruben Marez, 63, was born on November 19, 1959 and went home to be with the Lord on December 3, 2022 surrounded by family. Ruben was born to the late Aniceto and Ernestina Marez of La Blanca, TX. He married his high school sweetheart Annie in 1979 then moved to the Houston area shortly after. He was a long time resident of Highlands, TX and worked as a chemical operator at Air Products for many years. He was a wonderful father to Mandy and RC and father in law to Nick and Lacey Marez. He was a proud RuRu to Ethan and Alyssa Lucas and Ella and Desi Marez. His grandchildren were the light of his life and his pride and joy. Spending quality time with his family was his favorite pastime. His other pastimes included woodworking, gardening, working on his Mustang, eating lunch with his friends, cooking the best meals in Texas, and watching Judge Judy. He was a loving husband, father, Ruru, brother, and friend. He is survived by his wife, Annie Marez, his children Mandy and Nick Lucas and RC and Lacey Marez, his grandchildren Ethan and Alyssa Lucas and Ella and Desi Marez, his brothers David (Diana ♰), Gustavo, Ramiro, Richard (Rachel), his sisters Aurora, Diana (Ruben), Irene, Belia (Omar), and Ester (Jaime) and numerous nephews and nieces.
