Tribute

Russell Boisey Holley Jr., 71, went to be with the Lord on Saturday, September 8, 2018. He was born in Newport, Rhode Island to Russell Boisey Holley Sr., and Ella Louise Dyers Holley. He attended the University of Houston and graduated with a B.A. in Science. Russell was employed by the City of Houston and was the Manager of Operations over the water department. He enjoyed sailing, fantasy football, and playing computer games. Russell was a kind and caring man that loved his family, job, church, and going out to eat on Sundays, especially at El Toro. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Ella Holley; sister, Helen Ainsworth; brother, Jack Holley; stepson, Bennie Bennett; and stepdaughter, Jodi Klawinsky.

Russell is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Dianna Holley; sons, Shawn Holley, and Russell S. Holley and wife Lisa; stepdaughters, Lisa Hemby and husband Jim, and Joyce Hayes and husband John; stepson, Steven Bennett; grandson, John Hayes Jr.; granddaughters, Amber Holley, Tabitha Holley, Paige Holley, Meagan Hemby, Kyleigh Bennett, and Krystal Bennett; thirteen great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends.

Serving as pallbearers will be, John Hayes Jr., Andrew Molly, Chris Thompson, Ken Dement, Scott Barker, and Robert Amezquita. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 from 9:00am to 11:00am at First Apostolic Church of Highlands, 1211 S Main St, Highlands, TX 77562. Funeral services will begin at 11:00am. Interment will follow in Sterling-White Cemetery at 12:30pm.
