Ruth had two great grandchildren Malia Diamond Rose Greene and Ares Alexander Greene. Ruth leaves behind many nieces and nephews, many great great nieces and nephews. Ruth loved all of her family with all of her heart.
Ruth was born in Louisiana, but made her home in Houston, Texas for many years. Ruth worked in many job industries but found her calling in Caregiving. Ruth had the most amazing heart and cared for others like she would want to be cared for. She went above and beyond her call of duties. She was giving many letters of recommendation and highly praised for her lovely and caring disposition. Ruth was a remarkable woman who loved and cared for anyone that she came encounter with. Ruth would give the shirt right of her back if you needed it. She put everyone before herself. She was a true servant of God. Ruth loved her Lord and Savior with all of her heart, all of her soul, and all of her mind. Ruth loved her church family and her Pastor Bro. Pace. She loved going to Wednesday night Bible Study and Sunday School. Ruth was someone that would understand you, not judge you, and pray with you or pray for you. She loved to talk mostly about the Lord. I know her siblings and children and friends that she spoke with EVERY day is going to miss her sweet voice and her words of wisdom. NEVER again will there be another Ruth Elizabeth Provost Vargas. Ruth knew she was loved by her family and friends. Her daughter Sharon adored her and loved her more than anyone could possibly love another human being. Ruth was truly an amazing person through and through. Ruth just had a way to make you feel like everything was going to be okay. Most all of the Provost family stayed connected because of Ruth, she was the backbone of the family. She was the glue that held us all together. She prayed that after her passing that we the family would stay connected. I hope we can honor her wishes. But above all she prayed daily and spoke to the family about salvation. She didn’t want anyone left behind. Ruth’s last wishes were that whoever doesn’t have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ to please go to God in Prayer. Now is the time for salvation. We are not promised tomorrow. Revelation 3:20 “Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.” If you have not excepted, Jesus as your Lord and Savior, do it now. You never know when your time will be up. Do not put off your salvation. Do not leave this world without Jesus. That is Ruth’s message to everyone that will listen. She hopes to see all of you in our Heavenly home. Ruth is with the most high and what a glorious day November 27th was for her.
