Sandra “Sandy” Louise Halford was born in Roseville, California on October 24, 1968 to Richard Gene and Frances Louise Watson and passed away at her home on December 22, 2021. She eventually moved from California to Arkansas before settling in Texas. While raising three children, she went to college and began working as a billing clerk.
Sandy is survived by her beloved husband, John Halford, children, grandchildren, and various nieces and nephews. She was a caring mother to Matthew Watson, Paul Zellner, and Sarah McLane and step-mom to Ashley and Melissa. She was most proud of her title as “Grammy” to Kayla, Mitchell, Aubrey, Kheagan, Kynzee, Gracie, Karley, Kelby, Lexie, JJ, Weston and Leighton.
In 2012 she married John. A year later was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer and fought over seven years while John, Sarah and her family provided care.
Visitation for Sandy will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Monday, December 27, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, Texas. Funeral services will take place 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home with interment to follow in Sterling-White Cemetery.
