Sophia Peters

Sophia Mary Peters, 96, of Crosby, Texas passed away on September 27, 2022  one day before her 97th birthday.  She was married for 59 years to Jerry Antone Peters, who passed away in 2006.  She has been a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Crosby Texas and a member of the Catholic Daughters of America for 50 + years.  She loved to be a Lector at Mass at Sacred Heart and participate in the Rosary before Mass.  She loved her family and prayed for all of them daily.  She enjoyed traveling, visiting , being at family events and participating in all the activities of her church.  She was also a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.  She was a very good and genuine person who would help anyone in need.

Sophia leaves behind her children: Jerry M (Kathy), Julia (James), John (Jenet), Mary (Joe), Denise (Hallis), Kathy (Don), Stephen (Mary), and Susan.

Her Grandchildren Tammy, Angela (Carlos), Jason (Andrea) Keith (Koran), Rebecca (Joaquin), Jimmy, John Paul, Gary, Michael, Anna (David) Mira, Amanda (Tracy), Kimberly (William), Jeremy (Nikki), Hollie (Gabe), Jesse, Christi (Kyle), Megan (Ryan), Abbie, Stephen (Jennifer), Amber and Austin.

Her Greatgrandchildren: Kianna, Trayten, Elijih, Joshua, Nathan, Avaram, Aleeya, Matthew, Kevin, Haley (Buddy), Gracie, Thomas (Stasha), Patrick, Elizabeth, Andrew, Eli, Daniel (Hannah), Noah, John Michael, Travis, Ella, Tyson, William, Hayden, Kailey, Tyler, Emily, Regan, Zack, Addie, Leilani, Stetsen, Karma, Brian, Jayden, Jerry, Dallas, Aaliyha.

nephews and nieces, as well as friends, family, and neighbors are going to miss her as well.

visitation on Monday October 3, 2022 from 5 pm to 6:30 pm at  Sterling-White Funeral home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd, Highlands, TX.  Rosary will start at 6:30 pm.

The Funeral Mass will be held the next day, Tuesday October 4, 2022 at 11 am at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 915 Runneburg rd, Crosby TX.  The family will be present at the church one hour before the service.
