It was so hard to see you suffering... Now you can rest in peace without pain. You are the most thoughtful person I know. You always thought about the others and helped the others. You are truly an angel! Now you are in heaven, and I can see you smiling, dancing hula and still helping others.

Aunty Susan, when I think of you I remember all the laughter and fun that we shared doing hula shows together. Your positive energy always lit up the room and your passion and determination in everything from school to work to hula always inspired me. You always danced with your heart and that inspired me. It was so sad to see you suffer this past six months , you were trying to stay alive despite the pain and I am sure you are now happier in the best place one could ever dreamed of. I am truly blessed to have known you and been your hula sister. You helped me learn and provided friendship, laughs and love. I am eternally grateful that we were able to spend a couple of hours a few days before you passed - crying, giggling and praying. Your light was strong even through the suffering. It took me half a lifetime to find you. Now you've left me too soon, and I am heart-broken and so sad. You and Kaitlan have given me so much life, love, and happiness...I am eternally grateful. I'm so sorry for the difficult battle you faced day after day and the pain you endured so courageously. I would give anything and everything to be with you, to hold and kiss you, one more day...but, I would not want you to bear even one more second of pain. I miss you dearly and cannot believe you have really left us. You have not gone from my heart though, and you will be always be with me. Mahal Kita! I love you!
