Theodora Cheryl Thompson

Theodora “Cheryl” Thompson passed away on Wednesday, September 25, 2019. She was born on May 12, 1953 in St. Lucia, West Indies.  Cheryl loved country and western music, enjoyed cooking and deeply loved her entire family. She lived her life through prayer and was a strong believer in her faith. Cheryl was the matriarch of her family and her loss will be felt by anyone who knew her. She co-owned G-Tex Coatings, Inc. with her husband.  She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Cheryl is survived by her husband of more than 25 years, Georges Thompson; daughters, Dawn Ligons (Marcus); Lydia Marcelle (Michael Reed); mother, Mary Leonce; brothers, John C. Anthony (Elizabeth), Calix Anthony, Kenneth Leonce (Tongie) and Kieran Joseph (Maria); sisters, Flores “Sister” Charles (Joseph) and Earnesta Taylor (Eric); grandchildren, DeMarion and DeMarcus Ligons, Raelyn, Rylan, Randi, and Cyril Jr; nieces and nephews:  Charlene, Chrystal, Michael, Chad, Meaghan, Derrain, Chrissy, Eliza, Freda, Annie, Tracy, Eric, Elyse, Ellison, Paris, Keni, Jalen. 

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 10:00am to 11:00am, followed by A Celebration of Life Service at 11:00am at Word of Faith Family Christian Center, 9556 Garth Rd, Baytown, Texas 77521. Interment to follow at Sterling-White Cemetery. Arrangements have been entrusted to Sterling-White Funeral Home, 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd., Highlands, Texas 77562.
