Tribute

Tommy Wayne McArthur, a devoted patriot, and beloved husband, daddy, and Papa Bear.  Past away peacefully on March 26, 2024.  He was born on November 10, 1943 in Lubbock TX, and lived a life marked by integrity, compassion, and service to his country, family, church, and community.

Tommy served with honor in the army embodying the principles of duty and loyalty throughout his military career. His unwavering commitment to his country was evident in every aspect of his life, earning him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Beyond his military service, Tommy was a loving husband to his wife Anna for 57 years, and it was love at first sight. They met at the drive-in hamburger joint called Hi-D-Ho in Lubbock, TX.  He was dedicated to his love for the Lord and for his church family at Baytown Revival Center for 55 years.  He became a Master Plumber for Young Plumbing and worked for them over 50 years.

Tommy was known for his simple pleasures and generous spirit. He found solace in the simplicity of a great cup of black coffee and the challenge of a puzzle with his daughter and granddaughters.  He collected old cars/ tucks and army hats. His love for his canine companion Camo, knew no bounds.

He is survived by his loving daughter, Kathryn Jordan, and her husband Albert Edward Jordan, whom he cherished deeply.  His granddaughter Kaylie Matlock and husband Monroe Matlock and children Sierra, Carl, Ashlee, Wade, and Case.  His granddaughter Tiffany Champagne.  He found much joy in watching them all grow and flourish.

Tommy Wayne McArthur will be fondly remembered for his love of faith, his, and his willingness to make the world a better place. He leaves behind a legacy of honor, kindness, and a love that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
