Viola Stubbs

Viola Victoria Stubbs, 64, of Crosby, Texas, passed away on Sunday, October 3, 2021 in Baytown, Texas. She was born January 3, 1957 in Houston, Texas to parents Max William Ackerman and Viola Strakos Ackerman who preceded her in death along with her husband William Dwayne Stubbs Sr.; sister, Dorothy Sue Ackerman; grandparents Max L. Ackerman, Anglelina Janak Ackerman, John Strakos Sr., and Ludmilla Budova Strakos; uncle Charles Bederka; aunt Doris Bederka; and cousin Liz Skrla.

Viola was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend to many. She enjoyed playing slot machines, watching football, and spending time with her friends and family; especially her grandchildren. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Viola leaves behind to cherish her memory her children Angela Jentho and husband Jamison Zimnoski, William Dwayne Stubbs Jr. and wife Jo Ann, Ashley Stubbs and husband Stephen Vahldiek; grandchildren Tyler Jentho, Scottie Jentho, and Kayden Stubbs; great-grandson Jameson Jentho; sisters Mildred Bebee and husband Bruce, Mary Ackerman, and Sandra Arsement; nieces Lindsay Parmer and Jennifer Pulsifer; nephews Eric Arsement and Hannah Adams, Tyler Bebee, and Corey Bebee; great-niece Dixie Adams; great-nephews Owen Parmer, Ethan Parmer, Hollis Arsement, Jamison Pulsifer, and Bentley Adams; and a host of extended family and friends.

A visitation for Viola will be held 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home, Highlands, Texas. Funeral services will take place 10:00 a.m., Saturday, October 9, 2021 at Sterling-White Funeral Home officiated by Deacon Archie Benham. Interment will follow in Sterling-White Cemetery. Serving the family as pallbearers will be William Dwayne Stubbs Jr., Jamison Zimnoski, Tyler Jentho, Stephen Vahldiek, Scottie Jentho, and Eric Arsement. Honorary pallbearers will be Kayden Stubbs, Wesley Skrla, Kevin Skrla, Pat Skrla, Douglas Parmer, Corey Bebee, and Tyler Bebee.
