Virginia Lee Gaedchens

Virginia Lee Gaedchens, 82, of Channelview, Texas passed away peacefully on August 24th, 2023. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Fritz (Mickey) Gaedchens, Jr. and parents, TJ and Margaret Melbadine McDonald.

She is survived by her son, Michael Christopher and wife Angela; daughter, Laura Lee Gaedchens; and her sister, Sara (Sally) Arens, and her children Brian and Melanie; 4 grandchildren, Eric, Mandy, Shayne, and Casey, 9 great-Grandchildren, Kyleigh , Kyler, Kollin, Brooke, Savannah, Trevor, Thomas, Ashlynn, Jaymen, and 1 great-great grandchild, River; and several great nieces and nephews. All of these, which she loved dearly.

Virginia was a wonderful woman, mother and friend who always had a great story to tell of her early days and through the years, her smile and her laugh lit up every room she walked in and she will be greatly missed. She wasn't only a caregiver to her kids but also had a big heart for the many animals that came her way and enriched her life. She stayed busy with gardening, vacations, thrifting, and managed their family business for 28 years and enjoyed living life and being around those that loved her. She had touched all of our lives in some way and we will miss her dearly.
