William Cuthbert Budd

William “Spike” Budd, beloved son, husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away on Wednesday January 18, 2023, surrounded by his family, at age 52. He is preceded in death by his father, Will, both sets of his grandparents, Minnie and Charlie Wright, William and Shirley Budd, his father in law Phil Sparks and his beloved fur baby Beaux.  He is survived by his wife Rebecca, his three children Ryan, Kendall, and Jacob, his mom Jeanie Budd, as well as his bonus children Cole and John, his sister Susan Pequeno and her husband David, niece and nephew Lauren and Liam Pequeno., brother in law Josh Sparks, wife Amanda, niece and nephew Mackenzie and Ethan, brother in law Jonathan Sparks, wife Triska, and mother in law Pam Sparks.

Spike was born to William and Jeanie Budd in Baytown, TEXAS.  He worked many years both in construction and the petrochemical industry and got to travel the globe doing the job he loved.  After meeting his wife, Rebecca (Becky), they realized not only had their paths crossed at work related events but his best friend growing up was an in-law to her brother.  Spike and Becky also had three fur babies, Lucy, Marli and Bearx.

Spike’s love for his wife and children was evident to all who knew him. He was well known for his ‘always on the go’ attitude and said many times “Life is too short to not live it.”  He had a passion for travel and trying new places.  He loved his weekly trip to his favorite Mexican restaurant, every Friday night after work.

A  viewing for family and friends is planned for Monday January 23, 2023, at 10am with a public memorial service to follow at 11am..  The services will be held at Sterling White Funeral Home at 11011 Crosby Lynchburg RD, Highlands, TX 77562. A reception will follow at Crosby Church at 5725 US 90, Crosby Tx 77532.
