Colton was my best friend at one point. We were like siblings. I remember playing cops and robbers in memaw and pawpaws yard. we played baseball, has sleep overs, watched 3 ninja kids countless times. When I had a falling out with my family, I lost Colton and Will as brothers. when I found out about coco it was through FB. I kinda lost myself. I have pretty much held it all in for these years. There are bad times that really hit me. like tonight..I miss you brother. That annoying sibling bond we had. you had to get EVERYTHING I did. man that made memaw so mad...lol. But I know you are being well taken care of now. I love you Coco. <3 -Rissa

I was Colton's homebound teacher during his sophomore year at Atascocita High School. He was the bravest, strongest young man I have ever met. When he was trying to catch up with all his schoolwork, he never complained. He told me of his struggle, and I was amazed at his tenacity and his will to overcome. I am praying for his family and am blessed that I was fortunate to meet a young man like Colton whose bravery was beyond compare. Praying for all who love and cherished him.

I hadn't seen Colton in many years but I'll never forget his big brown eyes and always had a smile on his face. Many treasured memories of this sweet boy and his family.
