I originally met Jackie as an Avon saleslady, at her own home, she was such a gracious person, always so full of enthusiasm for life. We weren't really that close, as such, but I loved her dearly and after I stopped selling Avon, I would meet her at Walmart or someplace in town and we always exchanged a few words. I had not heard of her passing and today, December 5, there was an estate sale sign on Hwy 90 and I followed the signs to go to the sale. To my dismay, when I got there, the sale was at her home. I couldn't convince myself to go inside, it had upset me so badly to know she was gone. I am very saddened and wish to offer my deepest condolences to her family, whom she loved so deeply.

I felt like I went down memory lane with her obit. I loved her stories of the past, including, the WalMart and Hector visits. She really never met a stranger and she told me stories about how she met and knew people we encountered. With that, she told her stories quite well. She could write a book for she was very entertaining. I moved to a town where I knew no one and she made my life there much more sane and bearable. What a wonderful neighbor, friend and animal lover! We could sing some corny songs too! Yes, we had our silly moments. Living back in my beloved NOLA now, I'll remember her while I'm dressed in costume in the Quarter on Halloween (one of many fun events we shared). Love and miss you Jackie! You were just as sweet as your sweet tooth. May you enjoy all your pastries now. Say hi to Squirt for me. I'd like to think you and Leonard are riding together on my sweet, beautiful Palomino horse.

What a wonderful lady, who I've known since I was 6 years old. A one of a kind. I will miss her so. My condolences to all the Greenwade family members.

Jackie was one of a kind, she lit up any place with her smile! I enjoyed knowing Leonard and Jackie for nearly 30 years. Reunited, I know they are waltzing across Heaven surrounded by the glow of their amazing love for each other. RIP my friends.

My deepest condolences to the family. My husband Martin was employed by Mr. Greenwade for many years, that it's how I knew and met Mrs. Greenwade," Jackie". She was a very giving and caring person, she will be missed. May God give you strength in your time need. Rest in peace Jackie.
