Peggy, So sorry to hear about your Mother. She was one of a kind. I have many memories from when we were teenagers and giving Myrtle, Eddie and my Mom and Dad hell. Sending my love. Karen

Mrytle was a great friend and "Aunt Mrytle" to our children. We spent a lot of Thanksgiving's together when she and the kids came to join Eddie who was living with us at the time in Baytown. She cooked the best pot roast and made the most delicious rice dressingI've ever had. She worked hard as a checker and as a mom. She had a quick smile soft voice and was "good". We loved to watch her and Uncle Eddie do the" Jitter-bug".Those little feet sure could move! She always looked great and had her hair done. On her birthdays, she called it her "Birthday Do".My husband, Raleigh, affectionally called her "M&M". I think it was Eddie's nicname for her. "He said she was like the candy; sweet & melted in your mouth but not in your hand". I have many fond memories of her.
