Chester Ree Ramirez Jr.

Chester Ree Ramirez Jr. age, 42 went to be with the Lord on Sunday July 3, 2016. He was born in Houston, Texas on June 20, 1974 to Rosie Owens Ramirez and Chester Ree Ramirez Sr. He enjoyed traveling, was an avid sports fan who enjoyed participating and watching, but most of all, spending time with his family, especially his wife, children and grandson. He was a very caring, sweet, helpful and compassionate person, who  was known as the “Gentle Giant”, all who knew him always had pleasant things to say about him and he will be loved and missed by all. He is preceded in death by his father Chester Ree Ramirez Sr. and his grandfather, Ben Ramirez. Chester is survived by his beloved wife, Artesa Ramirez; his children Cristian and Bianca Ramirez, Darwin Joyce and Ashton and Trelyn Turner and his grandson, Jaylen Joyce; his mother, Rosie Toussaint; his sisters,Tomekia Rosemond and Karmileta  and Florence Ramirez; his brother, Antonio Ramirez; and his grandmother, Florence Fontenot. Chester is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews as well as other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for family and friends will be held  at Sterling-White Funeral Home 11011 Crosby-Lynchburg Rd. Highlands, on Saturday July 23, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., followed by services  in the Chapel of Sterling-White Funeral Home. Interment will be in the Chapel of the Pines Cemetery.
