Sherry, Jerry, and the rest of the Boring and Bailey family: I am extremely sorry about the loss of your momma. Keeping you in my prayers! I hope you will find comfort in the following poem which I am sure your momma would share with all of you:

Now that I am gone, remember me with smiles and laughter.
And if you need to cry, cry with your brother or sister who walks in grief beside you.
And when you need me, put your arms around anyone and give to them what you need to give to me. There are so many who need so much.
I want to leave you something -- something much better than words or sounds.
Look for me in the people I've known or helped in some special way.
Let me live in your heart as well as in your mind.
You can love me most by letting your love reach out to our loved ones, by embracing them and living in their love.
Love does not die, people do. So, when all that's left of me is love, give me away as best you can.

Grandma was my light in the darkness. Her sense of humor and contagious laugh always made a hard day easier. She was the most caring person and made sure her family did not go without. She offered help to my family and me a multitude of times. Her giving spirit will live on through my children and me, as well as many others. She believed in "eating the cookie" and not depriving those sweet cravings, and I am so thankful for the many goodies she spent hours baking for us. Her special ingredient was surely love, and it truly made her desserts the best! She poured love into everything she touched. She is beyond missed and her memory will live on forever in our hearts.

Lillian was my step grandmother. It makes me sad that I didn’t get a chance to be around her more in my life. Quentin thought the world of her. The last two times we saw each other was Jeff’s Funeral and then Quentin. What sad occasions. What I did admire about her was her spunk and full of energy. I know the family will miss her terribly. Rest In Peace Lillian .
From your step granddaughter Penny

I knew Grandma as the most helpful person that will ever walk this earth. She helped everyone in my immediate family on more than one occasion. I also remember her helping hundreds of others. I remember the times on Breckenridge St. She would come home from working 3 jobs and no matter how tired, would make sure everyone was fed. I remember sitting in Church and listening to her sing and then the 30 minutes it would take to get to the car because she wanted to say hello to everyone in the Church. I remember her living with us a couple of times and how my boys still talk about her time with us. Most of all I will never forget her laugh. She could laugh like no body else. Her laugh was contagious, when she laughed you would have to laugh with her. God Bless My Grandma! There will never be another one like her.
